Hatchett's Hotel and Tavern

Status: Closed
Address: 67-68 Piccadilly, W1J 0HJ (streetmap) (osm) (gmap) (bingmap) (streetview)
London borough: City of Westminster
Former address: [also listed as 1-3 Dover Street]
Historical parish: St George Hanover Square
Dates open: by 1789-at least 1882
Notes: It is listed in 1851 and earlier as just "Hatchett's Hotel" so may not have included the tavern at this time. The directories also mention a "New White Horse Cellar", which may be a wine bar or shop (John Hatchett is listed variously as a victualler or vintner in fire insurance records, and the first mention of him in 1789 is at the "Albemarle" so this may be an earlier name). Later offices, now a restaurant.
