Notes: | Location on the map is approximate, as the road layout changed completely with the construction of the new London Bridge (to the west of the original site) and the railway station. It is marked on Rocque's map of 1746 and Horwood's map of 1799, which both suggest it was inset from the street in Ship Inn Yard. St Thomas's Hospital archival records suggest this was replaced after 1830 by a north wing to St Thomas's Hospital (itself demolished not long after for the construction of the railway line and station). |
