Notes: | Location on the map is approximate, as the road layout changed completely with the construction of the new London Bridge (to the west of the original site) and the railway station. Rocque's map of 1746 shows a Chequer Alley in this location, suggesting the pub existed at this time. This was demolished for the construction of the new London Bridge, built 1824-1831, and the realignment of Borough High St as a result. |
