Notes: | Location on the map is a guess, but judging from a Lambeth Archives record, a White Bear Alley was in the vicinity of Eagle and Child Court (also known as Naked Boy Alley), which is shown on Horwood's 1799 map of London just south of the intersection with Broad Street (modern Black Prince Road). Upper Fore Street referred to the stretch of Fore Street running south of Broad St, while Lower Fore St was to the north. |
