Notes: Originally sited 10m to the east on the opposite side of St Marychurch Street, prior to rebuilding after World War II. This is probably the same pub as the "Ship and Bells" listed in Sun Fire Office insurance records of 1816 and earlier as being "near Rotherhithe Church". Also known as the "Great Eastern" for a while (though still called the "Ship").
