Notes: Listed separately as "Salutation Tavern" (17 Newgate Street) and "Salutation Tap" (3 1/2 Rose Street) in 1839, but appears to be the same establishment with two entrances. There was an older "Salutation Inn" on the north side of Newgate Street in the 18th century, marked on old Ordnance Survey maps as being c50m to the north-west.
