Notes: | A 1792 Sun Fire Office insurance record mentions the "Black Lion" as being on the corner of Morgans Lane, but as Black Lion Court ran off Tooley Street on the other side of Morgans Lane from the "Royal Oak", it was probably opposite this pub (but it may possibly have been an earlier name). |
